Major Blackridge, Watercolour
SOLD – Major Bartholomew Blackridge, a stoic black Labrador of noble service and noble soul, carries himself with both military precision and gentlemanly grace. Retired from the Royal Canine Corps, where he served with distinction, he now resides in a countryside manor, often seen seated in his favorite armchair, a handkerchief ever at paw. Behind his calm, steady gaze lies a wealth of lived experience—tales of heroism, loss, and unshakeable loyalty. Though he rarely speaks of the past, his presence commands respect. A dog of duty, honor, and deep empathy, Major Blackridge is the very embodiment of integrity in a waistcoat.
Painted in watercolour using Paynes Grey, for a monochrome effect.
The painting is approximately 30cm x 40cm
